As we learned this past holiday season, Furby is popular again, so much so that we had to include it in our 2023 Best Toys list. Yeah, the weird-looking, babbling creature continues its reign of adorable terror. Just so you know the Furby infestation isn’t going to end soon, we’re getting a whole range of apparel celebrating the Furbyland creatures in this Furby x Cakeworthy collection.
That’s right, Cakeworthy just launched a Furby-themed collection, allowing you to bring the owl-faced, hamster-bodied doll from the tail end of the 90s into your everyday outfits. From tees and jackets to hats and bags, this thing lets you celebrate the odd-looking creature in colorful and quirky styles.
The Furby x Cakeworthy collection consists of multiple pieces, including two graphic tees, two jackets, a crewneck sweatshirt, two bucket hats, two fanny packs, two shoulder bags, a blanket, a notebook, sticky notes, and a set of pins. The first tee is a unisex all-over-print shirt emblazed with a veritable army of Furbies in different colors, while the second one is actually an oversized t-shirt dress for women that features a pink Furby graphic airbrushed out front. Both tees ae cut in 100 percent cotton.
The jackets, on the other hand, are made with a polyester fleece exterior and a soft cotton interior ensuring it’s comfortable next to your skin. Available in black and pink, the garment features two front pockets, an embroidered Furby face in the back with printed coloring, and white faux fur for the creature’s hair. The crewneck sweatshirt is only available in black, though, while featuring a screen-printed and airbrushed print of the character. It’s made from a fabric blend of 60 percent cotton and 40 percent polyester.
The Furby x Cakeworthy collection also includes a pair of bucket hats, one black and one pink. Both get an embroidered Furby face in front of the hat, with protruding 3D ears and faux faur hair, so you kind of look like you have a furby sitting on your head, which is pretty fun. It’s made from 100 percent polyester, with gold-colored zipper and buckle. According to Cakeworthy, this collection is the first time they’ve integrated 3D elements like fauc hair and 3D ears into their releases, which makes it pretty special even Cakeworthy fans who don’t quite rock with the Furby dolls.
The fanny packs get the same 3D treatment, getting an embroidered Furby face, 3D ears, and faux fur hair, along with a gold zipper and buckle. It comes in both black and pink colors. The shoulder bags are among the most unique items here, as they are, practically, Furby plush dolls if you stuff their main compartment with soft filling, complete with the same 3D ears, faux fur hair, and even 3D feet. Of course, they’re meant to be used as bags, with a gold chain shoulder strap and a main compartment that looks like it can fit a bunch of small gear. The blanket, on the other hand, measures 40 x 60 inches and features an all-over print of seven different Furbies emblazoned all over the fabric.
