Shark TurboBlade Fan Lets You Vent Air in Two Different Directions

Bladeless fans bring plenty of benefits, from the lack of dangerous spinning blades and its quiet operation to the energy efficiency and consistent airflow. Like traditional fans, though, the airflow can only be pointed towards a single direction, so you’ll still need multiple fans to better circulate air around the room. The SharkBlade TurboBlade Fan changes that.

Unlike your typical bladeless fan, the device doesn’t use a single large airfoil that expels air towards one direction. Instead, it uses a pair of oscillating vents that can be independently adjusted to face different directions, making it possible to use a single fan to simultaneously send air into separate areas of the room.

The Shark TurboBlade Fan has two vents that each measure over 15 inches wide, with both capable of expelling air to distances of up to 80 feet, which should make it quite effective at helping cool your home during hotter days. You can orient the vents at a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal angle, allowing you to control exactly how air is expelled. Even better, you can twist each vent individually, so you can have one vent facing forward and the other facing backwards, essentially letting you send air to two different areas of the room. It also gives you the option to twist the vent downwards or upwards, allowing you to experiment on how to best circulate air inside the space.

The fan comes with 10 speed settings, so you can go hard when you want to cool a space during the day, then lower it for more quiet operation at night. There’s also a Sleep Mode, which mutes all chimes, dims the integrated lights, and optimizes fan speed automatically for minimal distraction to help you sleep, as well as a Breeze Mode, which gently randomizes the airflow to make it feel like you’re enjoying natural wind outdoors.

The Shark TurboBlade Fan also has an AirBlanket Mode that delivers widespread horizontal coverage at the one of the quieter settings, which they recommend as a stronger alternative to the Sleep Mode. Lastly, it offers a BreezeBoost, which just injects a big burst of powerful airflow for a limited period. The vents are held on a telescoping pole, so you can adjust the height a few inches, while a filter screen collects all dust in the air, which you can any time for easy cleaning. And yes, they sell replacement filter screens, so you can swap in a different one if it ever gets damaged.

The fan itself uses up to 192 watts, so this is quite the powerful fan at the highest setting. The whole thing, by the way, weighs just 15 pounds, so you can easily move it to various areas of the house. It comes with a remote, too, so you can adjust fan speed and set modes without having to get up from the bed, couch, or whichever part of the house you’re lounging in.

The Shark TurboBlade Fan is available in two colors, Dove White and Charcoal. Price is $249.99, so this is quite expensive for an electric fan.
