We love the convenience of using headlamps, as it allows you to light up whatever’s out front while completely freeing up both of your hands. That’s why we see people use them in a whole load of places, from hiking trails and construction sites to auto shops and even jogging paths around the city. The Nitecore HA23 UHE embraces this versatility by equipping the headlamp with multiple color temperatures to give you the perfect light in every setting.

Equipped with three color temperature settings, the headlamp can quickly change the warmth of its light source with the push of a button, so you can go from warm to cool and back in a pinch. That way, your color temperature can match whatever’s needed for every task and weather condition, giving you the perfect kind of light in any situation.

The Nitecore HA23 UHE has a light source can be set to any of three preset color temperatures. Set it to 3,000K for a warm white light that’s perfect for penetrating fog and rain, while minimizing glare and reflection. There’s also a 4,500K setting to give you a natural white light that’s ideal for various outdoor activities and all sorts of manual jobs, as well as a 6,500K setting for a cool and refreshing light that’s ideal when going on long hikes and runs.

The onboard MCT UHE LEDs come with a maximum 600 lumens of brightness, so this thing can run exceptionally bright. If you want to extend battery life, you can also run it at lower 280-, 100-, and six-lumen settings. There’s also an auxiliary red light with three settings (high, low, flashing), as well as an SOS and beacon light, both of which shine at the same 600 lumens.

The Nitecore HA23 UHE can be powered by three AAA batteries, a fresh batch of which will keep it running for 90 minutes at the highest setting. You can also stretch it to 150 minutes at 280 lumens, eight hours at 100 lumens, and 13 hours at six lumens. Alternatively, it can be powered by a Nitecore HLB1500 battery pack, which can keep it going up to three hours at the max setting and 125 hours at the lowest. They’re all rated to use up the same battery life, regardless of which color temperature you use.

It has a dual-button interface (one for power and one for mode changes), with a lockout mode that prevents accidental presses, which can come in really handy when using it during intensive tasks. The main light can be removed from the headband, by the way, with a multipurpose allowing you to attach it to various objects. Heck, they even included a diffusing stuff sack, so you can use it to provide illumination inside the tent at night. Other features include a flood beam over 100 degrees wide, efficient function of 94 percent light transmission, IP68 waterproof rating (submersible up to two meters of water), one meter of impact resistance, and a breathable headband with reflective labeling.

The Nitecore HA23 UHE is available now, priced at $29.99.
