That’s right, this puffy blanket comes with a case that you can fold the whole thing into, turning it into a seat cushion to make any plastic, wood, or metal seat feel a whole lot more comfortable. Whether you’re catching an NBA game on a courtside chair, a little league game in the school bleachers, or a football game on a folding chair at the local tailgate, this thing lets you add a comfy cushion for a much more pleasant time.
The Rumpl Gametime Puffy Blanket packs down into a thick, padded seat cushion measuring four inches thick, allowing you to transform the coldest, hardest benches into a much comfier affair. The seat case is water-resistant and seam-sealed, so the internal cushioning will stay dry even if you spill drinks on the darn thing, with a removable shoulder strap making it easy to carry from the car to your stadium seat to the concession stand and back. Instead of using foam like a regular seat cushion, it uses one of Rumpl’s blankets that is folded and slipped inside for cushioning, which is quite the unique solution.
The seat case, by the way, is lined with an inch of foam, so it still has some amount of cushion even without the blanket inside. That means, when the AC gets a bit too cold, you can actually get toasty wearing the blanket and still enjoy a small amount of cushioning to soften up erstwhile uncomfortable seating.
The Rumpl Gametime Puffy Blanket comes with a pretty standard blanket from the outfit, which they’re calling a stadium blanket. Measuring 50 x 70 inches (width x length), it’s made from VersaWeave 30 ripstop, a 100 percent post-consumer recycled polyester fabric that’s weather-resistant, with a water-repellent finish for keeping out both moisture and stains. That’s right, it won’t just stay dry, it will resist all sorts of dirt and food stains, too, so you can eat sloppy stadium food without worrying about drips or splatter. It’s also designed to be warm, with Renewaloft insulation allowing it to keep you toasty even during the coldest winter game days.
Like their other blankets, it comes with paracord corner loops for easily wrapping the whole thing around your body. The outfit claims you can also use those same loops to fly it like a flag, though we’re not sure why you’d want to do that. Basically, it works much like their other blankets, making it as perfectly suited for outdoor use. It also gets a Cape Clip, so you can wear it hands-free like a superhero cape. The blanket is machine-washable, by the way, so it’s easy enough to clean, although the seat case requires spot-cleaning both inside and out.
