Imalent LD35 EDC Flashlight Comes with a Charging Case to Triple Its Battery Life

The rise of true wireless earbuds really popularized the idea of a charging case that automatically replenishes your gadget’s battery any time it’s neatly tucked into its case. It’s a very useful feature. In fact, it’s proven so popular that we’re now seeing other devices try to integrate the same charging case design, just like Kobalt did earlier with their EDC flashlight. We had a feeling other EDC outfits will be doing the same thing and that’s exactly what we’re getting with the Imalent LD35.

A small EDC flashlight, it comes with a charging case that automatically replenishes the lighting tool’s battery whenever it’s tucked inside. That way, you never have to worry about taking your flashlight out only to realize your battery is drained – this thing keeps juice trickling in whenever you’re not using it to perform an actual task.

The Imalent LD35 is a small EDC flashlight that measures 3.2 x 1 inches (length x diameter), making it ideal for use as part of your everyday carry. It comes with a charging case that’s about double the size and thickness of the flashlight, allowing it accommodate both the tool and a battery inside. The flashlight houses an 1100mAh battery, which allows it to run for up to 42 hours on the lowest setting. With the case in tow, Imalent claims this can be extended to a nearly six days, which means there’s, at least, a 2200mAh battery in there to extend it for that long.

The flashlight has a maximum brightness of 1200 lumens in “Turbo” mode, allowing it to reach distances of up to 328 meters. Do note, this is in Turbo, which means it will dial down to the High setting after 80 seconds, just giving you that extra brightness when you need it before going to a brightness setting that’s more manageable. There are four other settings, namely High (600 lumens), Middle (300 lumens), Middle Low (100 lumens), and Low (five lumens).

The Imalent LD35 can only last for 44 minutes on Turbo, 50 minutes on High, 2.5 hours on Middle, 8.5 hours on Middle Low, and, as we said earlier, 42 hours on Low, so that charging case will definitely come in handy if you need to tap into those higher illumination settings. There’s an OLED display on the flashlight that shows brightness setting, battery level, voltage, and more to make managing your battery consumption an easier affair, while a Luminus SFT-25R long-range LED ensures consistent brightness levels at all times.

Since flashlights are rugged tools often taken to trails and jobsites, it comes with IP68 waterproofing that allows it to submerge in up to 6.6 feet of water, as well as the ability to shrug off drops from up to five feet. Other features include USB-C charging for the case, LED indicators on the case to show charge levels, a light weight of just 2.4 ounces, and a single button control for operating convenience. From what we can tell, the case is designed to be stashed in a pocket, instead of being holstered like the previous one we saw from Kobalt.

The Imalent LD35 is available now.
