Some people say it’s just a fad, much like what happened with the hype behind the Stanley Quencher. Others think the original Wonder Oven is simply the best airfyer oven out there. Regardless of which of those two camps you fall on, you might be interested in checking out the new Our Place Wonder Oven Pro.
An improved version of the outfit’s original airfryer oven, the appliance delivers a bigger cooking area, two additional functions, and an all-new digital control scheme. Oh yeah, it uses improved heating elements, too, making this an overall upgrade from its stylishly popular predecessor.
The Our Place Wonder Oven Pro retains the same stylish looks as the original, complete with similar color options for those who like their kitchen appliances with a little added flair. However, it’s much bigger than the original, coming in at the same 30L capacity as the Large version, which came out later, allowing it to fit a whole roast chicken or a 12-inch pizza inside the cooking chamber. The bigger capacity also enables it to offer three rack positions, allowing for greater versatility and larger cooking batches. It comes with a large bake pan, a large air fryer basket, a large wire rack, and a large crumb tray.
While the original oven offers six functions, the Pro comes with a total of eight. That includes the original six functions from the previous model (air fry, bake, roast, toast, broil, and reheat), all while adding proof and dehydrate functionality. Simply put, the oven is now more versatile than ever. It also gets an all-new digital control scheme, courtesy of a touchscreen strip on top, which enables more precise adjustments to temperature and cooking time. This should be a welcome break for those who found the analog knobs from the original a tad too old school for their liking.
The Our Place Wonder Oven Pro also switched to quartz and stainless steel heating elements, allowing it to heat up faster and distribute heat more evenly. According to the outfit, this allows it to preheat 60 percent faster than its predecessor, all while cooking the same dishes up to 40 percent faster. It offers a temperature range of 80 degrees to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, with the option for more granular adjustments to ensure more precise heating. The timer, on the other hand, can be set anywhere from 30 seconds to 24 hours, making it useful for slow-heating any food items, whether for proofing or dehydrating.
Dimensions are 16.75 x 13.25 x 13 inches (width x depth x height) for the oven, so it should be a good size to keep on most kitchen countertops. Construction is similar to the original version, coming mostly in stainless steel and glass. Other features include an optimized convection fan that only runs when needed, interior light (can be automated or controlled manually), steam infusion capability to keep food moist, a removable crumb tray, and PFAS-free finishes.
Want one? The Our Place Wonder Oven Pro is available now in five colors, including a stainless steel finish for those who like more traditional-looking appliances. Price is $349.
