Fanttik R11 Pro Might Be the Most Portable Reciprocating Saw Out There

Reciprocating saws are extremely useful, allowing you to make quick cuts on anything that doesn’t require surgical precision. The Fanttik R11 Pro makes the reciprocating saw incredibly compact and battery-powered, allowing you to throw it in an EDC bag for taking on cutting tasks on the go.

A portable, battery-powered reciprocating saw, the tool lets you cut slimmer pieces of material on the fly, with no need to deal with bulky rigs and power cables. Whether you want to cut pipes in the basement, prune tree branches in the backyard, or saw through plywood in the workshop, this thing lets you do it without the usual hassles of bigger tools.

The Fanttik R11 Pro is very compact, measuring just nine inches long without a blade. It has an inline design, so the form factor is very streamlined, allowing you to slip it in a backpack pocket pretty comfortably, making it possible to easily bring it anywhere. The tool takes standard T-shank jig saw blades, which it can use to cut through wood up to 0.75 inches thick. Can you use it with anything thicker? Probably, but 0.75 inches is the recommend maximum thickness, since you’ll probably be better off with a full-size reciprocating saw for anything that’s actually thicker than that. The tool, by the way, comes with five four-inch jig saw blades included, so you get a generous supply that should last you for quite a bit.

It uses a dual-axis coaxial drive and a 160W brushless motor, which enables up to 2200 SPM speed, allowing you to cut through any recommended materials with relative ease. According to the outfit, it has an integrated dual-counterweight system that reduces vibrations, ensuring steady, reliable control of the tool from start to finish. There’s also a speed slider that lets you control the amount of power to use for cleaner and more precise cuts, as well as an electronic safety lock to prevent accidental cuts. It even has a two-step safety start, ensuring that you’re using the tool deliberately every single time.

The Fanttik R11 Pro has a LED work light, allowing to provide illumination when working in dark, tight areas, as well as a gradient LED display that shows real-time battery level, stroke speed, and any alerts, ensuring you’re kept fully informed the whole time you’re working. That way, you can immediately see when the battery’s running low or if the speed is set too high, allowing you to quickly make adjustments on the fly.

It has a built-in 14.8Wh battery that holds enough charge to let you cut up to 2.1-meters’ worth of 0.75-inch thick wood, making it ideal for short, quick jobs, whether at home, the campsite, or the workshop. It probably won’t handle the larger workloads job sites would require, though, so this is more of a tool for the DIY crowd. It charges via USB-C, by the way, which is very convenient for a modern tool, making it easy to juice up even when you’re camping off the grid.
