You can use most photo printers to crank out sheets of stickers. Just use the right adhesive paper and you’re set. The Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut won’t just print your sticker, it will automatically add precut lines, too, allowing you to crank out ready-to-use stickers for giving away at shows, selling on Etsy, or promoting your small business.
That’s right, it’s a combination printer and cutter, eliminating the tedious and difficult manual cutting you’d have to do otherwise. Not only does it save you from manual work, it also ensures clean and precise cuts, making your stickers look professionally-printed compared to standard homemade sheets.
The Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut is a compact desktop device that measures 8 x 11.3 x 4.1 inches (width x depth x height), so it’s compact enough to stick on the side of your desk, keep on a small side table, or stash in any small nook of the house. Suffice to say, this is a perfect device for folks with limited room for their crafting machines. It’s designed to work with a companion app that lets you upload and edit images into your desired prints, with AI editing tools that make it easy to remove backgrounds, put images inside sticker outlines, apply effects, and more. They even have editable templates to make it easier to put together professional-looking designs.
The device uses dye-sublimation technology for the prints, by the way, so
it applies heat instead of spraying ink, allowing it to produce vibrant and detailed prints in vivid colors. Do note, it still uses ink cartridges, so you’ll still have to pay for refills. The whole thing just works in a different way. Unlike traditional printers, it doesn’t stop at just printing the images, either. After printing, it will laminate the sheet automatically, ensuring all the prints are resistant to water, scratches, and fading over time. Once its laminated, it will then proceed to add precuts to make lifting off individual stickers fast and easy. Do note, it only does kiss-cut stickers, which means it cuts through the laminate and the adhesive sheet without cutting through the backing, so the entire sheet is still intact when it comes off.
The Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut’s compact size means it’s not designed to work with traditional A4-sized paper. Instead, it uses smaller four-inch wide sheets. It’s intended to be used with the outfit’s own 4 x 6 photo paper and 4 x 7 sticker sheets, although you should be able to also use other brands with it, though it might not produce the exact same results. The app, by the way, is available for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS, so you can do your edits on both a computer or a smartphone. It requires internet access, by the way, since the app seems to use cloud-based AI to perform its more complicated edits.
The machine is available in two different bundles: Essential, which comes with a single cartridge and two packs of sheets; and Ultimate Plus, which includes five cartridges and 180 sheets. It also includes a free trial subscription to the outfit’s subscription service, Cricut Access.
