Totes are one of the most popular beach bags for good reason. They’re easy to pack, convenient to carry, and spacious enough to fit in all your summer essentials. The UAG Tech Tote with Dryout makes it even better by giving it an interior lining that absorbs moisture, allowing it to dry wet items by simply keeping them inside.
That’s right, it’s a tote bag that integrates Dryout”s patented technology, allowing it to wick, absorb, and trap moisture from wet items that sit inside its walls. We’re talking about active drying here, making it extremely useful for quickly drying items that get spilled on, rained on, or inadvertently dropped in the water.

The UAG Tech Tote with Dryout is a bit more feature-packed than your usual beach tote. For one, the interior isn’t just one completely open compartment. Instead, it comes with multiple pockets that lets you better organize your gear. The pockets come in different sizes, too, so it’s versatile enough to let you keep different items in their own pouches. Heck, it even has a water bottle pocket in the same main compartment. One of those pockets is the Dryout sleeve, which is sized to fit up to a 16-inch laptop, allowing you to use it to dry everything from phones and tablets to laptops and all sorts of other electronics that could get wet during the course of the day. Do note, drying wet gadgets isn’t instant. For light exposure, they recommend keeping it in the sleeve for up to seven hours; for heavy exposure (like when it gets submerged in water), they recommend keeping it inside up to nine.

How exactly does the Dryout sleeve work? Well, it’s a multi-layer fabric that consists of a proprietary outer layer that pulls moisture vapor and water molecules, then spreads it out to expand the capacity, two core layers that trap moisture, and a final layer that’s designed for controlled moisture release, helping the water trapped in the core to evaporate. Do note, the material itself will stay wet for a while (it absorbs a lot of water), with the outfit recommending you either leave it out in the sun or use a blow dryer to help it dry faster, although it will still take while (at least an hour using a blow dryer, according to the outfit.

The UAG Tech Tote with Dryout has a wide opening much like any tote bag, making it easy to add or remove items even on the go. It has a zippered closure, so you can make sure none of the contents fall off during transport, as well as a reinforced bottom panel, so you can set it down on hard surfaces without incurring much damage. Around the back, it even has a pass-through sleeve for attaching to the telescoping handles on your hardside luggage, so you can easily bring this with you during travel, with an external zippered pocket right on that same sleeve for keeping items within easy reach. Other features include a PU-coated 600D polyester outer shell, fully seam-taped waterproof construction, and a weight of 0.9 pounds.
The UAG Tech Tote with Dryout is available now, priced at $139.95.
