The Yeti Daytrip 20L Insulated Tote Bag is a semi-rigid tote, with the rigidity coming from the integrated Coldcell Flex insulation, a closed-cell foam designed to keep any food you keep inside fresh for an entire day. It has a huge opening, allowing you to easily organize your food containers, drinks, and whatever else inside, while the outfit’s MagSnap closure makes opening and closing the bag a convenient affair, even for children. When closing, by the way, the top section folds before the magnets engage, ensuring all the cold air is locked in to properly manage the temperature inside. It’s definitely way more convenient than those tough-to-open leak-proof zipper closures found in many of Yeti’s insulated bag designs.
The 20L size is perfect for packing big, family-sized feasts, allowing you to fit in not just food items, but large wine and soda bottles in upright orientation if you want to bring some along. According to the outfit, it can fit up to eight wine bottles upright, so you and your friends can get plastered at the park if that’s your thing. Do note, it’s not designed to take ice (all that water from melting is way too messy). Instead, you can chill stuff inside using one of Yeti’s Ice Sheets or any other similar reusable ice gels out there.
The Yeti Daytrip 20L Insulated Tote Bag is made from an easy-to-clean material, so you can simply wipe it down when it gets a little mucked. The material is food-safe, too, so no worries about throwing in unpacked food items in there. There’s also a large zippered back pocket for any loose items you want to keep in the bag like cutlery, utensils, and anything else. Sadly, it’s not compatible with their Daytrip Shoulder Strap, so you can only carry it using the integrated tote handles, which are pretty bug. Dimensions are 13.6 x 15.7 x 8.1 inches (width x height x depth), with a weight of 2.9 pounds. It’s available in five core colors (navy, taupe, red, black, and charcoal) and a range of seasonal colors, depending on the time of the year.
