Ecovacs Deebot X12 Omnicyclone Robot Vacuum Uses Pressurized Spray to Soften Stubborn Dirt Before Mopping

Robot vacuum mops do a great job of cleaning most types of messes, although it does require a couple of passes for some of the more stubborn stains that have dried up and caked itself on the floor. The Ecovacs Deebot X12 Omnicyclone incorporates a new feature that allows it to clean those messes in one go.

Most robot vacuums will try to clean that mess with a roller mop, which usually scrubs some of it out but still leaves a good chunk of the mess behind. Not this one, which will first identify the stain and soften it before deploying the mop, making it a lot easier to scrub off from the ground.

The Ecovacs Deebot X12 Omnicyclone uses its camera to scan the floor in real time, then employs AI to identify any dried stains that it might have a harder time cleaning up. After it finds one, it will stop advancing, instead proceeding to blast a pressurized mixture of water and cleaning solution precisely onto that patch of stain to prep it for scrubbing. Once softened, the vacuum deploys its roller mop to scrub off the wet patch, which should now be a lot easier to clean up. Going this route not only makes sure it’s able to clean stubborn messes in one go, the precise targeting of dirt also ensures it only uses up the necessary amount of water and cleaning products. No more and no less.

Aside from that new capability, the robot vacuum has some powerful features to ensure capable cleaning around the house. For instance, it’s equipped with 22,000 Pa high-airflow suction power, while the updated ZeroTangle 4.0 technology is designed to pull dust, crumbs, and hair directly into the airflow’s path, minimizing the amount of hair that wraps around debris and gets stuck in the spinning brush.

The Ecovacs Deebot X12 Omnicyclone also gets a wider 10.6-inch roller mop for covering larger areas with one pass that’s continually rinsed with a 32-channel clean water pressurized spray system, as well as a smart mop cover that deploys when the robot vacuum goes over carpets to eliminate any chances of water dripping. It also comes with fully mechanical climbing system that allows it to driver over obstacles and even steps, in case your living room and kitchen are set at different heights. The vacuum also has an integrated AI agent that autonomously plans its own cleaning schedule and sequence, which it does by analyzing the space and its occupants’ usage habits over time. That’s right, this robo-vac leaves you with as little manual work as possible.

Like every modern robot vacuum, it comes with a charging dock that incorporates a whole bunch of functions for maintaining your cleaning automaton. It automatically empties the bin and cleans the mop using a heated high-pressure spray and a quick-clean scraper ring, switching between normal and heavy duty sequences automatically based on the amount of mess it detects. The onboard battery, by the way, allows it to clean areas of up to 10,760 square feet before needing to recharge.

The Ecovacs Deebot X12 Omnicyclone is available now.
